Gary Smith Fishing has, over the last six years, become synonymous with providing information for anglers visiting or living in Spain. Mediterranean Shore Fishing, Freshwater and Kayak Fishing have all been covered in great detail and the information is available within the Spanish section. 2008 has seen me return to the UK to take on the role of Senior Ranger at the fantastic 7 Lakes Country Park in North Lincolnshire. After seeing the magnificent waters and the spectacular fish the offer was too good to refuse. Another new angling challenge then! This time re-writing the rules, providing first class facilities for the exclusive venue, dealing with the angling media and being given the chance to introduce kayak fishing. As regular visitors to this site will know 'wild fishing' is what I seek. The attraction here at 7 Lakes is that it is not a stocked 'fish a chuck' water and therefore a very rare commodity that, in my mind at least, is sadly very quickly disappearing. The fish present are absolutely stunning and have never being pressured over the last fifty years so I, together with the lucky clients here, am looking forward to some truly special angling moments. The Costa Calida has, on average, over 300 days sunshine a year. It is obviously ideal for fishing, either sea or freshwater. The climate lends itself to being out and about. The fishing is all year round. Licences are required for both shore, and freshwater.
